Glove box

The glove box lid of a car's dashboard is one of the heaviest moving parts inside the passenger compartment and as such tends to open rather abruptly, slamming shut with an unpleasant noise. In the long run, such movement can be damaging to its components.

The use of a rotary or axial damper on the glove box makes it possible to control the opening of the lid so that it is slow and smooth, thus also ensuring that the movement is silent. Thanks to the slowed-down movement offered by the damper, the lid will not slam and the contents of the glove box itself will always be safe.
